Eyeball III

Eyeball III is back! During Eyeball III: The Third Eye edition, we embrace and celebrate ballroom culture in 013. The Third Eye invites us to look beyond what is visible, trust our intuition, discover our truth and imagine a future where everyone is free to exist as their authentic selves.

Houses and 007s (people within a community, but not in a house) will compete in categories ranging from  Runway and Realness to Performance. DJ Frandy Perez Juicy Couture on the booth will power the night, while Luluh 007, Michael Bodega and Aiko Louboutin take their seats on the legendary judging panel. Your MCs, Diamond Telfar and Qi’Shawn Unbothered Cartier, will guide the evening with unmatched energy.

Ballroom didn’t begin on the runway of a fashion house; it was born in the community halls of Harlem, New York. In the 1960s and ’70s, Black and Latinx queer and trans people created their own spaces, free from exclusion, discrimination and violence. These became spaces where gender could be fluid, family was chosen, and beauty was no longer defined by white or heteronormative standards. Ballroom was, and still is, a means of survival, an act of resistance and a celebration of identity and has evolved into a global cultural movement that continues to influence fashion, dance, art and pop culture.

To give back to the community, the three Grand Prize winners will each receive €500 and for the winner in the Femme Queen category there is a separate special grand prize of a full nail set by The Studio Tens (from Nail tech Elly 007).
